Q. What’s the difference between Training Courses, Curriculum, and Workshops?

Training courses will train your staff on how to step into the role of Digital Navigator, or Digital Navigator Program Manager/Director with confidence.

Curriculum and Workshops are used by your Digital Navigators, ideally after they’ve completed their training courses. They help your Navigators get started teaching quickly and easily.

  • Curriculum topics focus on how to use devices such as computers, smartphones, and tablets, and tend to be longer than our workshops.
  • Workshops are designed for 1-hour teaching sessions on essential skills topics such as using email, spreadsheets, social media, and more.

All curriculum and workshop topics come with:

  • Pre-built PowerPoint presentations for Digital Navigators to use in their classroom settings.
  • An instructor guide to guide them through the presentation.
  • A learner booklet that they can print and hand out to learners.

Q. How much work does this require from my staff?

Whoever purchases the package:

  • Will need to determine who gets a seat.
  • Will receive a shareable link, and will share it with their team members who get a seat.
  • Will have access to a dashboard to view seats claimed and learners’ progress in the courses.

Team members:

  • Will use the link to claim their seat.
  • Will need to set aside time to complete the training. Estimated course completion time can be found on each course page.
  • May download and/or print curriculum and workshop materials as applicable to their role for each topic they choose.

Q. What if we don't need all of these courses and resources?

Each person you assign a seat to can choose the courses and curriculum that are useful to them; there’s no need to complete all courses or use every curriculum topic.
